Behavioral Economics Consultancy TGG Names Chairman

Former Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit has been named Chairman of TGG Group, a consulting firm focused on behavioral economics and big data, whose co-founders include Freakonomics author Steven Levitt and economist Daniel Kahneman.

New York, Chicago, and London-based TGG (The Greatest Good) was set up to help companies re-shape and improve their internal cultures, using technology to track human behavior, large-scale data and economics. Its TGG Ventures idea incubator applies expertise in behavioral science and big data to help clients identify new products and services.

Pandit (pictured) worked as Citigroup CEO between 2007 and 2012, prior to which he spent more than two decades at Morgan Stanley, and taught Economics at Columbia, Brock University and St Catharines, Canada. In his new role, he will be Chairman of the holding company for three TGG units: a consulting and advisory division, a business serving non-profits, and an innovation arm.
