Social Media Tracker awe.sm Bought by Unified

Cloud marketing technology developer Unified has acquired San Francisco-based social media measurement specialst awe.sm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Fred McIntyreawe.sm's platform allows customers to measure the real business impact of marketing activities on social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter, tracking conversion events such as purchases, comments, product interactions, and lead-form completions. Its tools can be used to publish content on social media channels, track the distribution and consumption of that content, and ultimately optimize ROI in terms of visitor stats or conversions.

As a result of the deal, awe.sm's technology will be integrated into Unified's 'Social Operating Platform', which itself offers attribution, action and conversion tracking across social media, web, mobile and off-line marketing programs; along with a patent-pending ROI measurement system across paid, owned and earned media. In addition, this platform provides an open API framework for partners and developers.
