SurveyMonkey Gets Help with Open-Endeds

May 30 2014

Social media and text analytics specialist Texifter has entered a strategic partnership with DIY research firm SurveyMonkey, helping the latter's users get to grips with verbatim-heavy survey responses.

SurveyMonkey Gets Help with Open-EndedsTexifter's cloud-based platform, DiscoverText, will help SurveyMonkey users whose surveys produce very large numbers of verbatim responses, using a simple 'point and click' interface. The platform's users can now log in to SurveyMonkey to import existing survey data, and have access to a wide spectrum of online data feeds including the key social media networks.

Launched four years ago, DiscoverText was originally built for federal agencies sorting large-scale public comment collections, but has evolved to serve a range of public and private sector clients, plus academics. Founder and CEO Stuart Shulman comments: 'The Texifter team is excited to be introducing SurveyMonkey users to the powerful and flexible text analytics tools in DiscoverText. We are confident that once people try out features like clustering and custom machine-learning, they'll begin to see new possibilities for generating insights from bigger and more diverse collections of unstructured free text.'
