Kleffmann Names Leader for amis AgriGlobe

Agricultural market research firm Kleffmann Group has appointed Dr Bob Fairclough as Team Leader of its recently established agricultural market trend information and consulting unit amis AgriGlobe.

Kleffmann Group's amis panel surveys, supported by additional qual and quant data, help clients to understand farmers' purchase behaviour. The amis AgriGlobe brand was launched in February as the first in Kleffmann Group's suite of products for its new Agricultural Market Trend Information and Consulting (AgMarket Insight) division, and combines an agrochemical and seed database with global market consulting services.

Fairclough (pictured) brings to the new role twenty years' international business intelligence and market research experience. For the past twelve years, he has worked for AMIS Global, until recently a joint venture between Kleffmann Group and Phillips McDougall global pesticide and seed tracking service - now solely owned by Kleffman. Here he developed a database offering proprietary market research from end-user panels. Prior to this, he was Project Client Manager at agricultural consultancy Promar International, and a Business Analyst at Wood Mackenzie.

In his new position, Fairclough will lead a team of researchers and data analysts in developing a portfolio of information products. After an initial period overseeing development of the final stages of the amis AgriGlobe database, he will direct the creation of a range of products to complement and support the new unit.

CEO Burkhard Kleffmann says the appointment will enhance the group's capabilities within the AgMarket Insights division, and 'strengthen its position as the global reference for agricultural market information'.
