Ambitious Launch for New African Media Research Firm

July 4 2014

In South Africa, media monitoring specialist Tonya Khoury is launching a company called ROi Africa, offering technology for big content management and measurement, along with cross-media trend spotting.

Tonya KhouryKhoury (pictured), who has more than twenty years' media monitoring experience, previously served as MD of media monitoring firm DDI (Data Driven Insight), which provides insight across digital and traditional media. Prior to this, she was MD of radio and television advertising and music data provider AFSTEREO, and she held senior roles at Ebiquity Jisani Digitrack, and Newsclip.

Her new firm, which will launch next month, will provide a full near real-time media monitoring service across global and local print, radio, television, online and social media, along with analytics and sentiment analysis.

Commenting on the launch, Khoury said: 'I have been privileged to secure the financial and administrative support of one of South Africa's most exciting listed companies. My new firm's link to this company means I have BEE credentials, added to a global footprint and several African offices. I am building a media monitoring solution that promises to be the first of its kind in the world.'

Pending launch of its web site, the firm can be found online at www.facebook.com/roiafrica .
