Kantar Health Buys in Brazil

WPP division Kantar Health has acquired Brazilian healthcare research company Evidências, for an undisclosed sum.

Consisting of two units, Focus Assistência Médica S/S Ltda. and Classe Assistência Médica S/S Ltda., Evidências had unaudited revenues for the year ended 31st December 2013 of c.R$5.8m ($US 2.47m). The company was founded in 1998, employs 22 people and is based in Campinas with an office in São Paulo. Clients cover all segments of the Brazilian healthcare market, and are provided with pharmacoeconomic studies and analysis, local dossier submission packages, professional writing, market access and training.

WPP says the buy expands Kantar Health's presence in an important fast-growth market and gives it new capabilities in cost effectiveness and budget impact economic models - in addition to its ongoing policy of investment in fast-growing markets.
