Krux Hires Data Science Leader

September 29 2014

Cloud-based data management firm Krux has appointed Yacov Salomon to lead its global data science development, from a base in Sydney, Australia.

Salomon, who has a Ph.D in Mathematics from the University of Melbourne, previously led data science teams at both BigCommerce and Brandscreen. The firm, which helps clients to capture, analyse, protect and manage people data across 'all screens and sources', says the appointment gives it 'the largest on the ground team in Australia in this field', with more than ten members.

Krux is headquartered in Silicon Valley, with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, London, Singapore and - since 2014 - Sydney. MD Asia Pacific Stu Spiteri comments: 'Earlier this year we invested in our first international R&D centre in Sydney driven by local customer growth and demand, and today we are cementing this commitment to the region by welcoming the best talent in data science and engineering to our team. This growth allows us to offer unrivalled full people data management solutions to our customers, delivering flexible, secure big data management and analytics, with real-time actionability'.
