Sailthru Launches Sightlines Predictive Tool

November 3 2014

US-based marketing personalization and targeting firm Sailthru is developing a new service called Sightlines, which predicts the future behavior of users for eCommerce and media companies.

Jeremy StanleyFounded in 2008 and with bases in New York, San Francisco and London, the firm offers proprietary software which tracks web site, e-mail, mobile and social media use as well as off-line behavior and develops an interest profile for each unique customer, for use in targeting and optimizing marketing campaigns.

The new Sightlines tool, currently in private beta, aims to identify a client's most valuable customers and anticipate their future actions using 'more than three million predictive models'. According to the firm, Sightlines can be used to predict a wide range of behavioral variables including which customers will be likely to purchase, when they are likely to do so, and at what price point. Once these target audiences have been identified, marketers can use Sailthru's personalization technology to automatically send them relevant communications.

Chief Data Scientist Jeremy Stanley (pictured) comments: 'Sailthru Sightlines analyzes all customer actions, reactions and engagements in real-time. From this, marketers can build a more accurate ROI model and truly deliver the right messages to the right users with limited superfluous or unwanted communications.'
