Procera Launches 'Video Perspectives' Analytics

November 4 2014

US firm Procera Networks has launched an analytics tool called Video Perspectives, to provide network operators with insights into the streaming video issues affecting their subscribers' quality of experience.

Alexander HavängThe Fremont, CA-based firm offers solutions for service providers and network equipment manufacturers, to help improve the quality of their networks, better monetize their infrastructure investments, and create attractive services for their users.

Procera says Video Perspectives will give broadband operators a complete view of the video being consumed by their subscribers. Users can create their own video quality scorecards to measure delivery of streaming video to their subscribers, and measure it against the content provider scorecards of, for example, Netflix and Google. The tool is interactive, and allows operators to generate custom reports and analytics based on specific issues or opportunities they are seeing with video on their network.

CTO and founder Alexander Haväng (pictured) comments: 'Video is central to the subscriber experience, representing as much as 60% of our customers' traffic. Video Perspectives delivers the most relevant video analytics for the engineering, marketing, and customer care departments at network operators.'
