GfK Extends Swiss Radio Contract

Switzerland's Mediapulse body has given GfK an extension of its contract to measure the country's radio audiences beyond 2017, using the agency's new Mediawatch platform.

In a press release, GfK said a 'comprehensive assessment process' had shown that 'of all the available radio consumption measurement systems, GfK's new Mediawatch platform meets all the Swiss market's needs perfectly.' The group has already been measuring Swiss radio audience for almost 14 years, using a panel which now comprises more than 25,000 listeners - however the new system is expected to significantly enhance the services provided.

Mediapulse MD Dr. Manuel Dähler says the German-based agency 'not only contributes a wealth of experience, but is constantly investing in advancing the development of audience measurement for the Swiss market.' For GfK Switzerland, Audience Measurement leader Bettina Hoffmann comments: 'Tests have shown that the Mediawatch audience measurement system best reflects radio consumption. We look forward to a long and happy cooperation with Mediapulse.'
