In the US, full-service custom marketing research company Burke Inc. has acquired innovation and 'growth acceleration' specialist Seed Strategy. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2002 by Susan Jones and based in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, Seed Strategy offers a combination of research, strategy and creative services to help drive consumer behavior change and position brands. The buy will allow employee-owned Burke to enhance its services for new product innovation and strategic brand development.
While both companies are located in the greater Cincinnati area, there are no plans to combine their headquarters or brands.
Jeff Miller, Burke's President and CEO, says in addition to finding 'actionable answers to challenging questions', many of the firm's clients want to create new ideas to help their businesses grow. He comments: 'We wanted to meet their needs while continuing to deliver the industry-leading decision support we've always provided. Seed Strategy was the perfect solution.'
