Intelligent Optimisations to Grow Team

Plymouth, UK-based online ad targeting firm Intelligent Optimisations has received a £250k grant from the GAIN Growth Fund, which it says it will use to recruit software engineers, data scientists, sales, marketing and finance execs.

Rory KindlonBuilt by big data and behavioural ad targeting company IO Technologies Group, Intelligent Optimisations (IO) models an advertiser's online audience, analysing paths to purchase and Internet usage, helping to find new customers and engaging others across multiple devices.

The firm now employs 31 people, and will put the new funds towards its plans to grow the team to 46 by next March. Financing comes from the GAIN Growth Fund, which is managed by a team from Plymouth University on behalf of Plymouth City Council.

Commenting on the funding, co-founder and CFO Rory Kindlon (pictured) said: 'The GAIN Growth Fund grant has given us a fantastic boost by helping us bring in additional investment and accelerate our recruitment drive. While our longer term focus is global, we are rooted in Plymouth and through the establishment of a highly skilled platform engineering and data science team we can service online advertising solutions remotely to anywhere in the world.'
