Social@Ogilvy Names Hong Kong Leader

Ogilvy & Mather's social media commerce, online listening and impact analysis practice has appointed Samson Choi as General Manager in Hong Kong.

Samson ChoiLaunched in 2012, Social@Ogilvy offers access to O&M's execs - including more than 550 social media experts and a further 400 digital specialists - from across the Ogilvy group of companies. The team also offer O&M's measurement model, Conversation Impact, which helps marketers evaluate the impact of social media across different types of advertising and communications, and measures the impact of word-of-mouth on influencers and consumers.

Choi (pictured) joins from Pubicis-owned ad network Leo Burnett, where as Director of Integration he developed digital capabilities and coordinated the agency's digital integration with ATL and shopper marketing. Prior to this, he was Director of Digital Marketing at ICLP, where he oversaw digital strategy insight, and identified trends and new technology opportunities; and before this, he was Regional Digital Project and Technical Lead at MRM Worldwide.

In his new role, Choi is tasked with expanding Social@Ogilvy's services, while driving social media marketing activities for clients. He replaces Rudi Leung who left the company last July. He brings with him a wealth of digital knowledge and leadership skills, which makes him the perfect person to lead our Hong Kong office.'
