Ad Platform Admedo Buys Retargeting Firm Dispop

British ad management company Admedo has acquired New York-based online advertising and retargeting specialist Dispop. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Nick MoutterDispop offers a platform through which businesses can launch and manage advertising campaigns on Facebook and the web. Users can segment customers based on the pages and products they viewed, and then retarget those who visited a site but didn't place an order. The platform also offers advanced targeting methods to pinpoint potential customers.

Admedo says the acquisition will further increase its presence in the US, while adding further features and functionality to its own platform. CEO and founder Nick Moutter (pictured) comments: 'Our acquisition of Dispop underlines our commitment to further growing our business worldwide, particularly in the US. This is a key market for us, with programmatic ad spend in the region estimated at over $10 billion in 2014, and predictions of this doubling by 2016.'
