OfficeReports Adds Excel Menu

February 2 2015

Danish software product OfficeReports, which turns Microsoft PowerPoint and Word into 'a complete data analysis and reporting suite for surveys', has upgraded and is now available within Excel.

Torben Laustsen and Fred BalkenendeThe product, launched in June 2013 by Torben Laustsen and Fred Balkenende, the creators of Danish data collection survey software tool TricTrac, makes the near-ubiquitous office software into survey analysis and reporting programs which can read in raw data and output complex cross-tabular and statistical analysis as used by research professionals. In March last year, the product was integrated with DIY platform SurveyMonkey.

Balkenende says the pre-existing menu is often used for report automation, generating many similar reports at one time, while the new Excel menu 'should make OfficeReports more suitable for ad hoc reporting'. Laustsen adds: 'Besides all the necessary statistical functionality, OfficeReports enables you to create a lot of chart types which are time consuming to make manually in Excel. For example, charts with mean boxes, diverging charts and NPS charts are standard charts in OfficeReports.'

The product is provided as a simple download, and outputs standard XML Office documents which can be shared freely with any other Microsoft Office user. OfficeReports ApS, based in Copenhagen, has made a 14-day trial version of the complete software available for download from www.officereports.com/download .
