US-based web site tag management specialist Ensighten has appointed Pelin Thorogood as Chief Strategy Officer, following its acquisition of digital analytics firm Anametrix, where she was CEO.
Anametrix was set up in 2010 by former WebSideStory founder Blaise Barrelet, and sold to Ensighten last October. The company's analytics platform is now combined with Ensighten's technology, which is embedded into web sites, mobile apps and online video, and promises 'superior data clarity' and tracking of online behavior.
Thorogood (pictured) worked for three years at Anametrix, latterly as CEO. Earlier in her career, she was Senior VP Marketing at WebSideStory, prior to its acquisition by Omniture/Adobe. In her new role, Thorogood will lead Ensighten's go-to-market strategy and its marketing.
Ensighten CEO Josh Manion comments: 'I created the Chief Strategy Officer role to underscore our commitment to delivering the industry's most innovative and open marketing platform - and Pelin is uniquely qualified for this position. She is going to be a significant force behind our growth as more companies turn to Ensighten to accelerate their marketing-driven revenue by monetizing omni-channel data.'
