Media intelligence provider Meltwater has launched a new solution monitoring and distilling online information for decision-makers in corporate communications and other functions. The service tracks editorial, blogs and social media postings.
The upgraded package, available immediately in 13 languages, features a new user interface, features for competitor benchmarking and dashboard-based market-tracking, and the ability to connect with key influencers and drive conversations.
Founder and CEO Jorn Lyseggen comments: 'Most companies spend a lot of effort mining internal data, but underestimate the wealth of business insights that can be extracted by mining the large amount of information openly available on the internet. Advances in data science have paved the way for a new class of business intelligence. We have leveraged this to rebuild the Meltwater platform from the ground up to present real-time insights from the outside that can be used to drive business strategy.'
Meltwater, which this time last year was battling to buy Swedish-owned PR software company Cision, more recently acquired Canadian online content analytics firm Strategic Planner, its seventh buy in five years. With offices in 27 countries, Meltwater is online at www.meltwater.com .
