AirSage Buys Traffic Data Provider Decell

Population intelligence and analytics specialist AirSage has purchased Israel-based road traffic information provider Decell Technologies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cy SmithDecell provides real-time, historical and predictive road-traffic information, as well as advanced analytics solutions using cellular and GPS car data. Atlanta, Georgia-based AirSage says these services are complementary to its own product offering, which includes patented technology to capture and analyze data on where and when people travel, and their travel patterns and transportation trends. In addition, partnerships with wireless carriers provide AirSage with access to date from more than 100 million mobile devices.
