MEC South Africa Hires Former Effective Measure MD

WPP-owned media agency MEC South Africa has appointed former Effective Measure MD Alan Morrissey as Head of Analytics & Insights.

Alan MorrisseyMorrissey (pictured) joins with a media background from work in Europe, the Middle East and South Africa, with a particular focus on digital audience measurement and web analytics. Most recently, he worked at digital audience specialist Effective Measure as MD, leading efforts to increase awareness and adoption of the firm's research and planning solutions across South Africa, and managing the company's relationship with the IAB. Prior to this he worked for media auditor ABC UK as Senior Sales & Account Manager overseeing more than 220 digital accounts in the UK, Ireland and elsewhere in EMEA; for retailer Londis; and for Genmet Engineering in Durban, South Africa.
