Umbrella Association Launches in Scotland

A new industry association has been set up by six membership bodies in Scotland, to help promote collaboration between those working in the market research, marcoms, media and publishing sectors, and to support the country's reputation for creativity and innovation.

New association launches with a talk from Muriel GrayAMMO (the Association of Marketing and Media Organisations) was officially launched in Edinburgh last night by Scottish media celeb and 'peroxide national treasure' Muriel Gray, who was introduced by former Leith Agency Creative Director Gerry Farrell. The event was attended by around 150 members of founding bodies: the Market Research Society, Marketing Society, DMA, PPA Scotland, IPA and DBA. According to AMMO, these organisations draw membership from the leading employers based in Scotland; client and agency, suppliers and services, public and private sector.

AMMO's steering group will meet regularly to keep up-to-date with events, activities and key issues for each organisation in Scotland, and those working in related fields are invited to attend future meetings and participate in forthcoming member events.
