Dentsu Aegis Buys Major Stake in Thai Agency

Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired a majority share in Thailand-based digital agency Flexmedia, for an undisclosed sum.

Nathamon KongthananonFounded in 2005, Flexmedia provides a range of media planning, insight and web analytics services. In addition, it produces content for social media sharing including animation, motion graphics and character design; and offers analytics technology for search performance and social media marketing.

The firm has a team of 33 marketing professionals led by CEO Nathamon Kongthananon (pictured), CMO Komjak Kamthornpasinee and CTO Pichit Chearjaraswongs. Following the acquisition, Flexmedia joins Dentsu Aegis's digital agency iProspect and becomes Flexmedia iProspect. Kongthananon will continue as CEO of the merged entity, reporting to Amornsak Sakpuaram, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Thailand.

Dentsu Aegis' Southeast Asian CEO Dick van Motman says the combination of iProspect and Flexmedia in Thailand will enable the firm to deliver performance marketing, data and analytics.
