Dubit Hires Kids Insight Specialist David Kleeman

UK-based youth research and marketing strategist Dubit has appointed children's media, play and learning insights specialist David Kleeman as Senior Vice President of Global Trends, based in its New York office.

Dubit's in-house research team helps the firm create kids digital entertainment and games through direct-to-youth online panels and networks which track young people's trends, motivations and behaviour. This team also offers a range of services for market sizing, audience profiling, competitor analysis and usability testing. Last year, the company expanded to the US, and earlier this year it opened an office in Melbourne, Australia.

Kleeman (pictured) joins from global family and kids strategy, insights and product group PlayCollective, where he served as 'PlayVangelist' and SVP, Insights Programs. He also spent nearly 25 years as President of the American Center for Children and Media, where he was responsible for planning, funding, and executing events and consulting services for TV, digital media, research, education and child development specialists. In addition, he is Advisory Board Chair for the international children's TV festival (Prix Jeunesse), a Board member of the National Association for Media Literacy Education, and a Governor of the Television Academy.

At Dubit, Kleeman will investigate new trends in kids' entertainment and education; creative digital media content and distribution; best practices in 'playful learning'; and integration of child development and research across media, technology, toys and games.
