Former Webtrends CEO to Head NTENT

Former Webtrends CEO Dan Stickel has joined New York-based natural language processing company NTENT as Chief Exec, with an initial remit to lead the firm's expansion geographically and help further develop its technology.

Dan StickelNTENT (formerly known as Vertical Search Works) uses a proprietary platform to analyse all forms of unstructured data and understand user intent, and can then send personalized text, image and video content to users on 'all' platforms. Having invested $100m in its core technology, the firm is now planning to scale its business.

Stickel (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' tech experience. Most recently, he was CEO of security technology company Matforic, before which he served as the CEO of Webtrends, and he spent several years at Google as Head of Syndication Products. Earlier, he ran the enterprise business at AltaVista, and the software business at Macrovision.
