RealtyTrac Names New CEO

In the US, housing and property data specialist RealtyTrac has appointed Rob Barber as Chief Executive Officer for its data file licensing business, replacing Jamie Moyle who becomes Chair of the Board's Innovation Committee.

The firm's clients include federal government agencies, state housing and banking departments, real estate professionals and consumers. Its data covers more than 130m US (land / property) and includes property characteristics, sales and mortgage deed records and Automated Valuation Models (AVMs). It also holds information on twenty million active and historical default, foreclosure auction and bank-owned properties.

Barber (pictured) will join on August 17th from Environmental Data Resources (EDR), where he has worked for the past sixteen years and served as CEO for the past ten. He will sit on RealtyTrac's current management team, alongside recent additions Mike Sawtell, EVP/GM of Consumer Solutions; Jon Cohn, SVP of Data Products; and Brian Mushaney, EVP of Data Solutions. Commenting on the appointment, Moyle said: 'Rob Barber will make an amazing addition to the team and will build on the success and momentum that RealtyTrac has going into 2016'.
