Double-Digit Real-Terms Growth for Gartner

In the US, IT industry analyst Gartner has reported a 5% increase in second quarter revenue to $547.9m, amounting to a 12% increase at constant currency.

Gene HallDuring the quarter, the firm's Research division saw revenue rise 8% to $385.7m (14% excluding the impact of foreign currency). Client retention was 85% and wallet retention 106%, each 1% higher than in Q2 of 2014. For its Consulting division, Gartner reported a 6% drop in Q2 revenue to $88.3m, while revenue in its Events arm increased 9% to $73.9m.

Second quarter 2015 group net income fell 4% to $51.2m, while normalized EBITDA increased 5% to $110.1m. For the six months ended June 30th, total revenue increased 5% to $1.019bn (12% up at constant currency), net income was $79.5m, and normalized EBITDA was $190.8m.

CEO Gene Hall (pictured) commented: 'We continue to perform extraordinarily well as a company. We achieved another quarter of 15% CV growth and we continue to deliver strong results across all our underlying metrics'.
