Leapfrog Appoints for New Consumer Intelligence Role

US consumer data specialist Leapfrog has hired Scot Wheeler for the newly created role of Vice President, Consumer Intelligence and Business Analytics in its Consumer Journey practice, leading a team of analysts with a focus on consumer targeting.

Scot WheelerFounded in 1995, Evanston, IL-based Leapfrog focuses on understanding the consumer journey and developing customer acquisition strategies. The firm employs more than 140 data scientists, software and systems engineers, media planners, analysts and brand marketers.

Wheeler (pictured) joins with a background spanning a variety of technology, consulting and agency roles focused on the integration of strategy and business intelligence. He is Adjunct Lecturer in Digital Analytics and Market Research and Statistics at Northwestern University Medill, and previously founded digital marketing firm Intelitecht Solutions. Earlier he worked for Omnicom-owned digital marketing agency Critical Mass as Group Director, Marketing Science, having begun his career in software development.

In his new role, Wheeler will lead a team tasked with collecting consumer insights, conducting environmental trend analysis, conversion testing and optimization, predictive modeling and dynamic targeting.
