RetailNext Hires Former Nielsen Exec Tatarsky

August 21 2015

Former Nielsen SVP Kindra Tatarsky has joined in-store big data analytics specialist RetailNext in the new role of Head of Corporate Development, responsible for initiatives such as M&A, partnerships and investments.

Kindra TatarskyRetailNext delivers a real-time solution to enable retailers and manufacturers to collect, analyze and visualize in-store data. Using video analytics, Wi-Fi detection, more than 30,000 on-shelf sensors, and data from point-of-sale systems and other sources, the firm tracks more than 400 million shoppers and says it analyzes trillions of data points each year. Last summer, it raised $30m to expand operations in Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America and other emerging markets, and earlier in 2015 it secured a further $125m in growth funding.

Tatarsky (pictured) joins the company's leadership team from Nielsen, where she served as West Coast Lead for corporate development activities, with a specific focus on driving digital innovation. She began her career on Wall Street as an equity research analyst following retail companies, before moving into venture and angel financing, and eventually leading investment screening and process at angel group Golden Seeds.

Alexei Agratchev, co-founder and CEO, comments: 'We are thrilled to welcome Kindra into RetailNext's world-class team of retailers, engineers, and software professionals. Her proven skill set in research and financial acumen and her understanding of how technology is dramatically changing the retail industry will be instrumental as our firm continues its explosive global growth as the standard for in-store retail analytics'.
