Confirmit Launches in Aus, Bows Location-Based Solution

September 10 2015

Research software firm Confirmit has developed a location and beacon triggering solution, to help clients understand 'in-the-moment' customer behaviour. The company has also ammounced its official launch in Australia.

Terry LawlorUsers of the firm's Horizons feedback platform can use the new solution to capture location events through geo-fencing or beacon technology, and identify when the mobile device is near, has entered, or has exited a specific location, such as a store or branch; or is close to a location such as an in-store display.

Confirmit says that by building rules based on combinations of these location events, customised and context-rich messages or surveys can be selectively sent to customers or panellists via an app. All data captured is stored in the firm's SmartHub, and can be combined with other sources of customer data.

Terry Lawlor (pictured), EVP of Product Management, states: 'By offering an integrated location and beacon triggering solution as part of Confirmit Horizons we enable our customers to correlate location-based data with other rich sources of customer data, such as purchase patterns and demographics, to deliver unparalleled customer and market intelligence'.

The Australian launch follows the acquisition two months ago of Information Research Management (IRM), its exclusive reseller in Sydney. Tim Hannington, Confirmit's EVP EMEA & APAC, comments: 'This is a huge opportunity for both Confirmit and our customers to take great strides forward together. By consolidating our presence in Australia, we will be able to work closer than ever with businesses in this vital region'.
