Civicom Adds Gamification Tools to Chatterbox Platform

In the US, Civicom Marketing Research Services has added gamification tools to its Chatterbox online community platform, aiming to improve participant engagement.

David WestFounded in 2000 by marketer David West (pictured), Civicom offers telephone and web-enabled in-depth interviews and focus groups through its CyberFacility; mobile qual research and mobile surveys through its InSitu tool; and user-generated content collection for mystery shoppers through ShopTalk. Last year, the firm added analytics tools to its Chatterbox platform, to help researchers speed up the data interpretation process.

The built-in gamification tools have been developed to engage with respondents and encourage more dynamic responses. The firm says this eliminates the need to re-recruit respondents due to lack of insight, while allowing project moderators to set up reward systems for activities such as ranking items, answering polls or uploading media.
