In the US, end user experience monitoring specialist Rigor has acquired web site evaluation and optimization company Zoompf. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Rigor helps clients understand the performance of their web sites and how their web applications are performing at all times. The firm says its acquisition of Zoompf will expand the functionality of its SaaS platform to include prescriptive intelligence, allowing customers to interpret data and then use the knowledge to deliver an optimal user experience.
Following the buy, Rigor will integrate Zoompf's technology into its SaaS platform, to create a web performance and optimization platform which offers both diagnostic and prescriptive analytics. Zoompf's CEO Mark Isham will continue as Director of Engineering, while founder Billy Hoffman now serves as Director of Product.
Both report to Rigor founder and CEO Craig Hyde (pictured), who comments: 'Our acquisition and integration of Zoompf will result in the smartest front-end web performance management platform on the market. With the addition of the Zoompf intelligence engine, Rigor users will be armed with the specific, actionable insights that they need to take action on improving their web sites for the first time'.
