inMarket Rolls Out Shopping Predictor Product

November 10 2015

US-based beacon proximity and location intelligence specialist inMarket has launched a product called Quantum Receptivity, to predict when consumers are planning their next store visit and are most receptive to brand messaging.

Todd DipaolainMarket reaches more than 36 million shoppers via apps in retail locations, and its proximity platform is used to drive purchases in brick-and-mortar stores. Tapping in to this platform, Quantum Receptivity measures the shopping cycles of opted-in shoppers across categories such as grocery, entertainment, discount and auto, and determines when consumers are most likely to respond (ie when they are due for their next shopping trip). In addition, the tool skips over shoppers when they're least receptive (eg after a shopping trip).

The system has been in private beta for more than a year, during which time the firm claims that retargeting at the right moments based on off-line shopping behavior translated to an 8% increase in store trips over a control group, and a 14% increase in dollars spent per trip.

CEO Todd Dipaola (pictured) comments: 'We're enhancing mobile advertising by reaching people when brand messages matter and pausing ads for folks who aren't in a relevant mindset. This creates a better experience for consumers, and a more efficient spend for the advertiser'.
