NetBase Introduces 'Audience 3D'

November 11 2015

US-based social media analytics firm NetBase has launched a new tool called 'Audience 3D' (A3D), which combines Twitter audience data with the firm's language technology to help brands better engage with their fans and expand their follower base.

Pernille Bruun-JensenThe firm, which recently completed a $15.2m round of funding, develops social media tools to analyse consumer opinion, emotion and behavior using a natural language processing (NLP) engine combined with other text analytics and machine learning to process billions of posts.

A3D has been developed to provide brands and agencies with a 'dimensional' understanding of consumers, while unearthing new insights and targeting capabilities. The system uses Twitter's Gnip Audience API to uncover data such as audience demographics and interests, allowing marketers to understand and target customer needs in real-time, and to measure campaign reach and performance.

Chief Marketing Officer Pernille Bruun-Jensen (pictured) explains: 'Social media data has created a gold mine of consumer insights for brands and agencies, which have truly changed the role of the CMO, With Audience 3D, NetBase is helping CMOs understand what their audience loves, so they can engage in relevant conversation for stronger loyalty and greater business impact'.
