Head of Innovation for Basis Research

In the UK, former 2CV Research MD Mark Bagnall is joining Basis Research as Head of Innovation. His remit includes 'consistently updating the firm's intellectual tool kit' as well as developing specific new proprietary tools and techniques.

Bagnall, who became Managing Director of 2CV's UK office three years ago, will keep a finger on the pulse of social sciences and brand & marketing theory, helping Basis to 'stay at the forefront of the market research industry', the company says. He joined 2CV in 2009 when it launched an experiential marketing evaluation division - 2CV EXP - in partnership with his firm, Phoenix Research. In the next three years he helped develop the company's proprietary research tools, as Head of Digital.

MD Rune Mortensen comments: 'We're very excited to have Mark join the team. His appointment will help cement our drive to develop techniques and thinking that enable us to better understand people's lives and by so doing, deliver additive market intelligence to our clients'.
