Integral Ad Science Gains Two New Patents

December 18 2015

New York-based advertising intelligence specialist Integral Ad Science has gained two US patents for its video measurement and brand safety technology.

David HahnIntegral, which now has four patents relating to ensuring media quality, is known for its TRAQ Scores (TRue Advertising Quality), which evaluate media environments to give a quantifiable measure of media quality. The new video measurement patent covers the agnostic grabbing of frames from any video in mobile and desktop formats. This permits actual visual frame analysis of brand safety risk, in-banner format detection by determining visual ad vs. actual video content, and visual frame fingerprinting for all videos. The firm says this fingerprinting radically improves efficiency, especially where syndication has pushed a single video onto tens of thousands of domains that look like different impressions based on the URL. The patented indexing process also enables the collection of other video quality metrics such as video count per page, player size, player position and auto-play, via detection of frame changes during the page load.

The second patent is for the company's Traffic Viewer technology, which allows a system to automatically render digital advertising content for a user's review on the basis of feedback on scored pages. David Hahn (pictured), SVP, Product Management, comments: 'Integral is committed to developing the best tools for our clients. These patents will save our clients time and money, and are the latest entries in Integral Ad Science's history of innovation and industry leadership'.

Integral, which also has offices in San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC, London, Berlin, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, Paris and Tokyo, is online at: www.integralads.com .
