Dutch Get Daily Online TV Ratings

Netherlands TV industry body Stichting KijkOnderzoek (SKO) has announced that it is now working with data scientists from Kantar Media to deliver daily online TV ratings to the market.

Bas de VosSKO provides the country's official television audience figures, used by advertisers and broadcasters. Last summer, SKO and online publishing industry group VINEX expanded their contract with Kantar Media to include measurement of all online viewing behaviour.

The ratings, delivered daily since the beginning of 2016, report online consumption of TV programmes, initially from NPO, RTL Netherlands and SBS broadcasting; and complement existing ratings data for content viewed on the TV set. This marks the first phase of SKO's Video Data Integration Model, which will integrate data sources for all online television programme and commercial viewing. Online commercials will be included in the coming months.
