Shoppercentric Launches 'Shopper Stock Take' Index

February 2 2016

In the UK, retail behaviour specialist Shoppercentric has introduced an annual study called the 'Shopper Stock Take' index, tracking consumers' thoughts and feelings about the grocery retail sector.

Danielle PinningtonThe company is based in Harpenden, Herts and helps brand owners and retailers plan their shopper marketing and retail strategies. The new annual study will examine and benchmark how considered shoppers are with their spending, how they view promotions, what drives their behaviour, what motivates 'channel hopping', and how online channels impact on consumption.

MD and company founder Danielle Pinnington (pictured) comments: 'Whilst it's clear that the discounters and digital opportunities are driving some of the changes in the UK retail landscape, our new index broadens perspectives and shows how shoppers themselves are impacting the market. By truly understanding shoppers shifting dynamics a smart retailer or brand can start different conversations that potentially standout from the competitive crowd, and resonate with a more thoughtful shopper mindset'.
