Unmetric Launches Social Media Brand Tracking Tool

February 2 2016

New York-based social media intelligence firm Unmetric has launched a data visualization platform called 'Track', to enable marketers to follow brand competitors on social media in real-time.

Lux NarayanUnmetric analyzes the online behavior of 40,000 brands segmented across more than 30 sectors, for social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram. Brands use the platform to benchmark their social media presence and investment against competitors.

The new 'Track' web app provides in-house and agency teams with instant, up-to-date campaign intelligence across all social media, in one visual stream. Using the solution, teams focused on real-time marketing around specific events can track visual content from multiple competitor sets, and customize the entire stream based on social media channel, geography and industry. The tool tracks hashtags and mentions, and focuses exclusively on brand content to provide marketers with insights on what is or isn't working for competitors, as well as when competitors launch a new campaign.

Unmetric says the solution has been designed to complement and work alongside products including visualized data from social media listening and publishing tools. CEO and co-founder Lux Narayan (pictured) comments: 'As a marketing channel, social media allows brands to inject their voice into virtually any conversation around major tentpole events like the Super Bowl and smaller niche events too. For any brand with a marketing command center, Track will be an essential tool for monitoring what competitors are doing, when they're doing it and how well it's working'.
