Media Research Agency Blinc Names New MD

London-based full service media research agency The Blinc Partnership has appointed former Ipsos-ASI MD Justin Charlton-Jones as Managing Director.

Justin Charlton-JonesFounded in 1997 as Barrow Lanigan Inc., Blinc also has experience across marketing, brands and advertising research. In addition, the firm pioneered dial-testing for broadcast content in the UK and offers this as a core service alongside a range of quant tools for facial coding, implicit response and predictive markets.

Charlton-Jones (pictured) most recently served as a director at Winchester-based Market Measures, and a Board director at Network Research and Marketing. Prior to this, he was MD at Quadrangle and at Ipsos-ASI, Group Account Director at Millward Brown, and a Senior Market Analyst at the Woolwich Building Society. His research experience has primarily focused on connecting brands with their audiences.

Blinc is jointly owned by Neil Griffiths and Paul Barrow, with the former notionally serving as MD up to now. Charlton-Jones has joined to take over the running of the business and to grow it. Commenting on the appointment, Griffiths said: 'Justin's experience in both communications research and in growing businesses in this sector is a perfect fit for our vision for Blinc. His insight into ad research will be invaluable as we launch a number of new products.'
