In Chicago, advertising research specialist Ameritest has hired Tom Palmer as President, replacing founder Chuck Young who will continue in his role as CEO.
Founded in 1989, Ameritest has developed proprietary methods for evaluating ad effectiveness and its customized services include TV, digital, web, print, radio, package, out-of-home and early phase testing, as well as 'brandscape', storyboard development and campaign tracking.
Palmer (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' experience in consumer insights, marketing strategy, brand positioning and consumer communications. Most recently, he worked for Ipsos as EVP, Global Account Director, having previously been part of the firm's high tech entertainment research specialist OTX, initially as EVP and Managing Director. Before this, he worked for PepsiCo as Director Consumer Strategy & Insights, US Foods; and he was Director Marketing Insights at Quaker Oats.
Commenting on the appointment, Young said: 'The timing is right for us as we enter the next stage of our growth.
