Unmetric Adds 'Facebook Reactions' Tracking Feature

April 1 2016

New York-based social media intelligence platform Unmetric has added Facebook Reactions tracking to the Facebook Insights feature of its Analyze product, to help understand users' emotional reaction to posts beyond the original 'Like' option.

New options for Facebook usersUnmetric tracks and analyses the online behavior of 35,000 brands segmented across more than 30 sectors, for social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram. The firm's latest feature tracks the new Facebook Reactions service, which includes buttons through which users can react to posts with emotions such as: 'Love', 'Haha', 'Wow', 'Sad' and 'Angry'.

The new metrics add to existing features of Facebook Insights including likes, reach, impressions, engagement and visits for a brand's own page and posts. CEO Lux Narayan comments: 'With social media, brands have always had a leg up in understanding how audiences were reacting to their content in real-time. Adding Facebook Reactions tracking to our platform will enable brands to further parse consumer engagement and adjust their content and larger marketing strategy accordingly'.
