Advisory Board for Britain Thinks

May 16 2016

London-based opinion and behaviour consultancy Britain Thinks is the latest agency to appoint an Advisory Board. The impressive triumvirate consists of Times columnist Daniel Finkelstein, UK McCann Worldgroup CEO Mark Lund and Mumsnet founder and CEO Justine Roberts.

The firm says the Board will 'provide strategic counsel to its rapidly growing global insight and strategy business'.

A week ago the company appointed former Treasury and Prime Ministerial adviser Spencer Livermore as its fourth Partner, with a remit to build a new strategy consulting offer.

Finkelstein is Associate Editor and a columnist for The Times, is an OBE and sits in the House of Lords as Lord Finkelstein. He is a former chief policy adviser to then Leader of the Opposition William Hague, and former Director of the Conservative Research Department, advising PM John Major and attending Cabinet meetings.

Lund heads a 1,700 strong organisation in his McCann role, and previously helped co-found two independent advertising businesses including top 10 UK agency DLKW. He has also served as the Chief Executive of government stats and communications office the COI, is a former Chairman of the Advertising Association and served on the councils of both the IPA and ISBA.

Roberts is founder and CEO of Mumsnet, the UK's busiest and most influential network for parents with over 85 million page views and over 18 million visits per month; and in 2011 launched baby boomer grandparenting site Gransnet. Since 2011 she has sat on the Consultative Council of the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) and since 2013 on the Commission on Civil Society and Democratic Engagement. Her awards include IoIC Business Communicator of the Year (2014); and a listing at number 7 on the BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour Power List of the 100 most powerful women in the UK, in 2013.

BritainThinks Founding Partner Deborah Mattinson comments: 'Our clients are increasingly seeking strategic counsel that is rooted in deep audience insight that can transform businesses, influence opinion and behaviour change, and drive innovation. I'm delighted to welcome three outstanding leaders in communications whose insight and experience will be immensely valuable to our clients and future clients as we continue to grow'.
