US Leader for Fast-Growing Black Swan

London-based data science start-up Black Swan has appointed Jeff Headley, formerly Global Head of Personalisation at dunnhumby, as US Managing Director, based in its New York office.

In two years the company has grown international sales more than twentyfold to £3.6m - the fastest international growth of any UK SME according to the Sunday Times' Export Track 100.

Headley brings more than 26 years' experience in technology, marketing and analytics, and in his new role will lead US operations. Recent successes include the export of web sites and mobile applications for in-flight consumer entertainment to more than 50 international airlines, in partnership with Panasonic Avionics; and expansion of its digital trends-based prediction platform The Nest.

The firm, which last month appointed former Edelman Berland COO James 'JT' Turner, to establish a new Insights division, now employs 210 people worldwide across offices in the UK, Hungary, USA, Canada, Singapore and South Africa.
