BritainThinks Hires to Expand Environmental Practice

London-based opinion and behaviour specialist BritainThinks has appointed former Ipsos MORI Head of Environment Research Edward Langley as Research Director, to expand its own environmental practice.

Launched in 2010 by Opinion Leader co-founders Deborah Mattinson and Viki Cooke and their former colleague Ben Shimshon, BritainThinks offers strategic advice for political, corporate and not-for-profit clients, while its WorldThinks international division has a specific focus on reputation research.

Langley (pictured) joins with eighteen years' research industry experience with a focus on sustainability. Most recently, he served as Group Account Director at Colmar Brunton in New Zealand, working on a wide range of social issues including arts participation, immigration, public health and quality of life. Prior to this, he spent a decade at Ipsos MORI, using research to inform and evaluate client policy and communication strategies.

In his new role, Langley will build on BritainThinks' existing environmental expertise, working with clients including Thames Water and British Gas. Commenting on the appointment, Mattinson said: 'I'm delighted to welcome Edward to BritainThinks. His experience will be immensely valuable to our clients and future clients as we continue to expand our Environmental practice'.
