Luma Opens in Sydney, Expands in Melbourne

Australian brand and communications research agency Luma has opened a new office in Sydney, where it has appointed ad and brand researcher Kate Platter as Client Service Director. The firm has also expanded its team in Melbourne.

Kate PlatterFounded in 1991 by Sally Joubert, Luma offers a range of customised qualitative and quantitative services, as well as its flagship ad effectiveness evaluation tool add+impact. In Melbourne, the firm has hired three new account service staff, and moved Georgia Philips into the role of Chief Operating Officer. Platter (pictured) joins the new Sydney team having previously held senior-level roles at Ipsos/Ipsos ASI, GfK NOP, and NFO (acquired by TNS).

Commenting on the changes, Joubert said: 'Our expansion to Sydney is very important for our growing network of clients based there. We always put our clients first and now we can ensure we deliver even better service while strengthening the already robust relationships with our current clients. We are really excited to have Kate join our growing team'.
