Boomtime Continues for Pricing Specialist Simon-Kucher

German-based product, pricing and marketing consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners has announced first half revenue of EUR 116 million, up nineteen percent versus the first half of 2015.

The firm also reports an impressive EUR 130 million in incoming orders, with both the software / Internet and consumer goods & retail sectors performing strongly. Headcount is up to 930 permanent employees, in 33 locations (from 760 and 29 respectively in February 2015), including new offices in Hamburg and Stockholm. In the same announcement last year Simon-Kucher grew revenue seventeen percent; and in 2016 it says it 'expects to fully meet its total annual revenue target of 240 million euros'.

CEOs Dr. Klaus Hilleke and Dr. Georg Tacke (pictured) say the company has gained further momentum from digitization trends such as the rise of the Internet of Things, the drastic increase in online sales channels, and the fintech revolution in banking, all of which have forced companies 'to renew their traditional revenue models and make these future-proof'. Brexit is also expected to provide a boost for the company, according to Tacke: 'Many of our clients are feeling uncertain about the new situation. Here too we can offer support and, for instance, develop successful reactive strategies for a weak British pound'.

Simon-Kucher has opened a second office on the US West Coast where growth is particularly strong - the overall US growth rate is above 30 percent.
