Mustard Hires and Promotes in Manchester

Manchester, UK-based full service agency Mustard has appointed Laura Lyon from BBC Worldwide, Irina Dimitriade from DJS Research, and Hannah Barnsley from NHS England, while promoting Anthony Shephard to Associate Director, and Jack Melton Bradley to Research Manager.

Laura Lyon, Irina Dimitriade and Hannah BarnsleyAcquired by its management team in 2009, Mustard offers qual and quant research to clients across the financial services, retail, FMCG, leisure, education and skills, and healthcare sectors. Techniques include online research communities, social media monitoring, 'insight films' and commercial ethnography. Lyon joins as Senior Research Manager, having most recently served as Senior Planner for BBC Worldwide and prior to that, Consumer Insight Planner for Guardian News & Media. She has also worked with UKTV and IPC Media. In her new role she is tasked with developing Mustard's media client base, and building trends insights and wider cultural contexts into all research projects.

Dimitriade previously spent two years in research, initially in academia, and then at DJS Research. She joins as a Research Executive, applying both qual and quant techniques to clients in the public and private sector. Barnsley also joins as a Research Executive, after working at NHS England in London, where she specialised in qual research. At Mustard, she is assisting with projects in the leisure and financial services sectors, and will also be inputting into the business development strategy.

Shephard has been promoted after six years at the firm, having previously led Mustard's online qualitative proposition, and delivered online communities for clients in retail, hair and beauty, software, technology, financial services and the public sector. In his new role, he will have more strategic input in developing the firm's online qualitative research capabilities and exploring new ways of conducting research online. In addition, he manages Mustard's ISO20252 approved processes and procedures. Melton Bradley, who joined the company in April 2015, has been promoted after consistently delivering for clients in sectors including social housing and medical indemnity, and will now take more responsibility for project management and delivery as well as new business development.
