YouGov Expands to Washington D.C.

YouGov has opened an office in Washington D.C., with a focus on custom, academic, public affairs and public opinion research. Amy Emmatty joins as Managing Director of the new operation.

YouGov has five existing US offices, located in Redwood City, CA; San Francisco, CA; Cheshire, CT; New York, NY; and Portland, OR. Emmatty (pictured) joins in D.C. with more than twenty years' market research experience across public affairs, public relations, marketing communications, strategy development, branding and new product development. Most recently, she served as SVP, Managing Supervisor at KRC Research, prior to which she held leadership positions at Harris Interactive and Freddie Mac, having earlier worked at Quality Strategies and Wirthlin Worldwide.

CEO and co-founder Stephan Shakespeare says of the US expansion: 'When you combine the growth of our data products business domestically, the high reputation of our custom research team, and the prominent role we are playing in polling voters in advance of the upcoming presidential elections, the timing is right for us to expand our presence in the US, which is our largest market.
