Lux Research Names New CEO

Emerging technology specialist Lux Research has appointed former Verisk Health CEO Mike Coyne as President and Chief Executive, based in its Boston headquarters. He succeeds Dennis Philbin, who has served in the role for more than eight years.

Most recently, Coyne (pictured) served as CEO of physician network Quantia (sold to Merck's Aptus Health division last year), before which he was CEO and President of healthcare data and analytics services specialist Verisk Health, and earlier Business Development Manager and Product Manager for its parent company Verisk Analytics.

He takes over from Philbin, who joined Lux in 2008 after more than thirteen years at information services firm IDC.

Commenting on Coyne's appointment, Executive Chairman Bill Brady said: 'Mike's experience in leveraging data analytics to drive better corporate decisions will prove invaluable for our next phase of expansion'.
