ComRes Opens Office in Shanghai

London-based polling and research specialist ComRes has opened an office in Shanghai, where it has appointed former Capita exec Marc Hardwick as Commercial Director.

ComRes serves clients in the UK and internationally, and is known in the UK for its polling work on behalf of The Independent and Independent on Sunday, ITV and the BBC. The firm says its new office is part of a wider push for international expansion, and the latest part of its three-year growth plan, to expand beyond the EMEA time zones.

Hardwick (pictured) joins the new office from business process outsourcing and professional services company Capita, where as Director of Business Intelligence he was responsible for leading research and insight activities across all markets. He has twenty years' experience of the research industry, operating in a wide variety of different markets and roles, and prior to Capita worked at London & Partners and Datamonitor, having begun his career as an MRE at Whitbread.
