DoubleVerify Hires European MD

Digital ad verification specialist DoubleVerify has appointed Steve Brown as Managing Director for the European region, based in London.

Steve BrownDoubleVerify's software checks that ads are placed above the online 'fold' - specifically, that 50% or more of an ad is seen in the browser window for at least one second. Earlier this year, the firm launched a suite of media authentication services called IQ Advanced Solutions, which it says will increase the transparency and performance of video and display advertising across both mobile and desktop platforms.

Brown joins from Adconion, where he was MD of UK, responsible for revenue in Europe. He previously served as Sales Director for Yahoo!, managing European ad revenues for mobile, search, video and 'Right Media Exchange' services.

In his new role, Brown will help provide advertisers with technology to protect against digital ad fraud, while increasing consumer engagement. President and CEO Wayne Gattinella comments: 'As the global need to authenticate the quality of digital media and improve campaign performance continues to grow, Steve will work closely with our expanding European client roster to help ensure that an ad bought is an ad seen'.
